Sock Fail

I love hand knitted socks. I love knitting them. I love wearing them.

All that being said, I have just made the first sock I absolutely hate.

I hate it so much I don't want to rip it out. I don't want to knit it again. I'm just over it. You, green sock, will never have a mate.

This is the second pattern I've tried to knit from Wendy Johnson's Socks from the Toe Up. And I've got to say, the book just isn't working for me.

So, if you know a house elf who would like a lone, saggy size 11+ green sock with a too tight cuff, please let me know. Or, in all seriousness, if you would like a copy of Socks from the Toe Up, I'll be happy to mail you my copy.

Old (or disliked) socks make great cleaning rags. :)

For those of us who only dream of knitting such things...it is a nice sock.
