Officially Moved

You may all now change your address books to show our current address as 72 Royal Troon Circle, Oak Ridge, TN 37830-9019. We moved the last load of stuff out of the old house at 115 Orkney Road today. (There are still things there for Goodwill, and a couch and chair to go to Merriwater, but those are incidentals.) We hope to get the Orkney house on the market in the next week or two, so as to escape from the dizzying situation of owning not one but two houses (see, Elizabeth, it gets even more complicated as you get older).

I expect that we will spend the next few months trying to figure out where to put everything (and then trying to remember where we put it), but The Worst Is Over. Maybe I'll have time to take some pictures and figure out how to post them.

Welcome to the Future!

Hey, this is pretty cool! Last week I couldn't even spell blog, and now I are in one!

Great way to get the family communicating.

We had a nice visit from Anne, Al, etc. last week. We went to NYC twice and the beach once, plus Al and I went out to Nazereth to tour the Martin Guitar factory.

Here is a picture of all of us eating lunch in Chinatown. Al took it with his digital camera.

Perhaps I'll post a more complete "trip report" later.

Scary..

The potential of so many of my family members all posting here is mildy daunting. You people are weird! (Of course, I can say that, because I am completely normal! REALLY!)

For those of you who don't know, thanks to MaBear and PaBear and definitely my mother, I'm now a home owner. I start painting Monday, and I move in the Saturday after. Excitement!

Laura, this is a great idea! Hopefully everyone will jump on board!

Posting pictures

Dear All,

I hope this is working out okay for everyone. To insert a picture, you click on the little camera in the upper right and then tell it where on your computer to find the picture to post. I am trying it with this post. ( I am still trying to figure out how to get it to open in a new window at a normal size--let me know if you figure it out.) Attached (should be) a picture of Marcus and me shortly after he received his official white coat. Apparently he is not supposed to get his dirty and spill stuff on it like I do mine.

This is a test... this is only a test

Dear All,

This is an experiment in family communications and technical savvy. After stretching the limits of my knowledge of blogs I have managed to set up a family weblog where we should all be able to post. (And I get to control who has access--hee hee!) However, I thought it would be really fun to have a place where we can all post pictures, comments, jokes and so forth. Hope you will all at least give it a go. Just e-mail me if you have questions, and if I don't know the answer I will make something up.
