Ouch, d'oh, and d'oh.

But after looking up what dulce de leche is and how you make it, I really have to wonder how anyone came up with that in the first place.

Laura

I feel your pain. I am not allowed to cook in the mornings because I do so many stupid things before about 10am.

Did you know Haagen-Dazs makes a pretty good dulche de leche ice cream? Maybe wimping out, but definitely safer--and you can hold the nice cold carton against your burn.

Just for the record, I tore up the floor by moving the refridgerator. It's not an itty bitty one like I had in my apartments. It's a large sturdy Jenn-Air. The burns are healing and I'm ignoring the floor. Next time, I'm buying the ice cream.

You can glue the linoleum back down, at least.

Elizabeth

Yes, but it will never be the same. Ruined I tell you, ruined.

John

Welcome to the joys of home ownership. But regarding the linoleum, consider analogy to a new car: the first dent always hurts. After that, you get used to it.
