I'm making it tonight for the Thanksgiving festivities here in NJ. We're having a "small" group from Theresa's family (only 21 this time). The boiled custard is cooling now (my boiled custard never seems to come out quite right, but the Knox gelatin covers a multitude of sins).
While it's cooling I just wanted to let you all know that I'm thinking of you (and those who are no longer with us) with fond memories of Thanksgivings past. It's nice to be in the same family as y'all.
Love,
John
Right now I'm still waiting for the Jello to cool so I can finish the cranberry salad, then on to charlotte. It needs the same bowl. It's always neat to make charlotte because it connects us with each other, those here and in the next world. There has got to be charlotte in heaven, and there it never fails to set up or separates. Love to all and happy Thanksgiving.

I, too, have been thinking about everybody today as I collected my Charlotte ingredients. It never ceases to amaze me that such simple things come together to make something so delicious. And it makes me really, really happy to think about everybody else making and eating it at the same time.
I am so thankful to be in the same family as all you nuts.
