Magic Eye

Remember those magic eyes they used to put on the comics page of the paper? I finally found one I could see. This Astronomy Picture of the Day (a really cool site anyway) really is a teapot. Of course, this might just be because I have spent the last week working way to hard and I can hardly see straight.

Keith Olbermann Hits Back

In a follow-up to the Dr. I-Hate-SpongeBob-Dobson bruhahah, Dr. Dobson's website provided an email generator so people could email the big bad media with complaints about their coverage of the whole episode.  After receiving a couple thousand of these, Keith Olbermann decided he'd had enough.  His response is definitely worth reading.

My favorite quote:

"More importantly, at some point, some of these people are going to wake up to find that the great secular assault they see on their children was, in fact, a bogeyman created to hide their own bad parenting. If they can’t convince their own kids of the appropriateness of their religion and values, then the religion, the values, or the convincing, must not have been very good. Ask my folks if I was an easy sell - yet most of my tenets turn out to have been their tenets - not my teachers’, not television’s, not the secular world’s."
