Yay, sleep deprivation!

Just to drop you a line and let you know how things are going here:

You know, people told me I wouldn't get any sleep after the baby was born.  Boy, they weren't kidding!  Despite my new habit of falling asleep any time I'm sitting down, I think motherhood is agreeing with me.  It's certainly difficult, but I am having a great time.  With such a beautiful baby, it's hard not to enjoy myself!  (I might be a little bit biased about how beautiful he is, but I don't think so.)  He's especially beautiful when he's sleeping - now if only he could figure out that he's supposed to do that at night!

Sic Transit Gloria Marshall Field's

The Chicago Tribune reports that the Marshall Field's name is being retired by the store chain's owner, Federated Department Stores.  Adding insult to injury, the big store on State Street will now be known as "Macy's". 

How could they?  Or, as they might say in Chicago, "Say it ain't so, Joe".
