It's got to be pre-1999, since that's our old oven in the background. I can't remember what year that thing finally died. I just remember it shooting flames at me and my dad on its way out.
Sarah, the darn thing died three days before you grauated from high school and everybody was coming to the house for dinner after graduation. Boy, that was an experience in growth.
Nell wins! It was Thanksgiving 1984 and Bill was preparing to carve the turkey. I'm glad the guessing provided a little fun although I must confess I'm a tad disappointed that Bonnie's entry was the only one with imagination.
Nope, it's turkey!

I don't think it's nice to call the Patriarchal PaBear a turkey!
I think it was the attack of the Moss People from the Planet Murgatroyd. Either that, or he was starting up the GeeGoss Machine.

No, no, he was fixing to carve a turkey. I think. I do know it's from our house.

I think it's from sometime in the late 80's or early 90's - one of the times when the whole fam damily was in Hendersonville for Thanksgiving.

The GeeGoss machine isn't imagination, she's just stating a fact.....

Gosh, just remembered that was our first Thanksgiving in our house. Sure brings back the memories.

I just noticed you can see the Brown and Serve rolls in the background. Cool.

Yup, those are the same rolls. I got the recipe from a Woman's Day magazine in 1978!
