Adventures in Washington

  We squeezed in a long weekend in Washington DC for the tail end of the cherry blossoms.  The rain on the first day took away most of them but we saw a few. Here are a few trip highlights.  See the link I'll send from shutterfly for more.  Hope you all have a blessed Easter!

The first day poured rain.

We had to wait in lines but some we didn't mind.

The new WW2 memorial is very nicely done and fits in well on the Mall.

We even found an embarassing typo on an NPS sign along the Tidal Basin.  See if you spot it.  Look closely.

Storms

Don't worry about the pictures on TV. It's been a stormy week with lots of damage but we are all OK here and no/minimal damage to our places.  Anna Belle fell and broke her hip March 30.  Got her transferred for rehab to local facility yesterday right before the storms.  All is well at the facility and she is OK.
