Maybe he's a pirate and he wants to make a sign that says, "Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!"

Maybe he has a paranoia about oysters and has generalized the rule about months to all words.

Maybe he's the ruffles have rrridges guy.

Since the sign is in Greencastle, Indiana, home of the vile and appalling DePauw University, Charlie (loyal son of Wabash, sworn enemy of DePauw) posits that it may have something to do with the rivalry between these two institutions of higher learning. Further inquiries will be made.

Or maybe it's a plot by the Russians, and they're going to put up them all up backwards. Hm. The sound of that letter in Russian is something like "Ya" -- maybe this is the Ya-Ya Brotherhood at work?

Pa Bear

Watch this guy...he may later steal O's, N's, and G's to make the W signs spell WRONG.

You can't be too careful with letter nappers!
