That snow really is pinky-red. It's called watermelon snow. How cool is cryophilic algae? Do you think I could just have that on my lawn here in Minnesota? It would be a nice decorating scheme in the winter.

One night in New Jersey

Sunday night we saw balloons from the festival in Readington flying over our house after their evening launch.  Most of them landed in the field next to Anna's school (above), but one landed in our neighbor's back yard!
