A coworker of mine pointed me at a new plug-in for Firefox, Safari, (and if you must, Internet Explorer) called PicLens. (I prefer Firefox, so here's the link to the plugin: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5579)
On websites it groks, it lets you browse through the images on a 3-D wall - you can scroll side to side, zoom in and out, or settle on a single photo. It knows about Google image search, and it knows about Flickr, and some other common image/video sites, and any site can implement an rss feed that lets it work.
That means you can use it, for example, on Sarah's Photos.
It's still a bit unstable, but very fun to play with.
