Thanks to the nice folks at Google, I know that it is the 105th anniversary of the birthday of Theodore Geisel, better known to all as Dr. Seuss:
Despite the abiding (and well-deserved) popularity of the Cat in the Hat, Fox in Socks, Sam I Am, and other friends of early readers, I will always love "And To Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street" best of all.
And of course who could forget McElliotts Pool?

Mulberry Street is my favorite, too.
